Our Clinic
SNAC's
high-volume, high-quality, low-cost spay neuter clinic, which is opened
in February, 2007, offers its services to an alliance of animal
welfare organizations and the public to help end pet overpopulation. We
are located in Ridgeland, South Carolina which is the transportation
center point.
SNAC offers LOW-COST SURGERIES and FREE TRANSPORTATION to meeting
points in ten counties in South Carolina and Georgia:
SC: Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, Colleton,
GA: Effingham, Evans, Chatham, Bryan, Bulloch, and Liberty.
SNAC places a very strong emphasis on the quality of care offered at the
clinic. Animals are pre-screened medically before surgery, and are kept overnight in order to ensure the highest quality care,
monitoring, and rest after surgery.
The clinic uses the protocol, standards, and surgeries set up by the
Humane Alliance, including strict procedures regarding how animals are
handled, treated, operated on, and monitored post surgery. All staff
are cross-trained for maximum efficiency.
SNAC targets low-income pet owners along with animal welfare
organizations, encourages pet owners who already have veterinarians to
use their services for sterilizations. SNAC also urges those who do not
currently have veterinarians to find and employ their services.
SNAC provides rabies vaccines along with surgical procedures and does
offer limited optional services including tests and other vaccines. These
services are provided only at the time of a surgical procedure.
SNAC does not plan to offer any other veterinary services. SNAC's mentor, the Humane Alliance, found that about 85% of
clients have never brought their pets to veterinarians. A visit to SNAC
is a great starting point for finding a good veterinarian for future
medical care.
